Terms & Conditions — The Plot Jacobsbaai
1. Introduction
Welcome to The Plot Jacobsbaai, a boutique glamping and accommodation retreat situated on the West Coast of South Africa.
By making a booking, paying a deposit, or staying with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
These policies are designed to ensure transparency, comfort, and fairness for both guests and hosts.
2. Booking & Deposits
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
The remaining balance is due two (2) weeks before arrival.
Bookings not confirmed with payment within 48 hours may be automatically cancelled.
All bookings are subject to availability and written confirmation.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
We understand that plans can change, but please note the following cancellation terms:

|---|---|
| 14 days or less | 100% of deposit forfeited |
| 15–18 days | 75% of deposit forfeited |
| 19–30 days | 50% of deposit forfeited |
| 30+ days | Full refund minus 10% admin fee |
If a booking is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, a voucher equal to the deposit value may be issued for a future stay (subject to availability).
No refunds will be made for early departures or no-shows.
4. Temporary Cancellation Policy
In the event of government restrictions or natural events (e.g., lockdowns, severe weather), guests will receive a transferable accommodation voucher valid for 12 months from the original booking date.
5. Check-In & Check-Out
Check-in: from 2:00 PM
Check-out: by 10:00 AM
Late departures may incur additional charges unless pre-arranged.
6. House Rules
To ensure a safe and pleasant stay for all:
Quiet hours: 10 PM – 7 AM
No loud music or disruptive behaviour
Fires are permitted only in designated braai areas
The Pixie Café operates seasonally; hours may vary
Pets are welcome by prior arrangement only
Please respect our gardens, communal areas, and other guests
7. Damage & Liability
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to property or furnishings.
Management is not liable for loss, theft, injury, or accidents occurring during your stay.
Please secure valuables; safes are available in selected rooms.
Vehicles are parked at your own risk within our secure parking area.
8. Facilities & Services
Free Wi-Fi available in shared areas
Communal kitchen: guests must clean up after use
Shared plug points available — please bring an extension cord
Firewood, cooldrinks, coffee, and ice available for purchase on-site
9. Payment Methods
EFT and selected online payment gateways accepted
Cheques are not accepted
Card facilities may be temporarily unavailable during power outages
10. Legal
All bookings are governed by South African law.
The Plot Jacobsbaai reserves the right to update these terms without prior notice.
Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any policy changes.
